Following is a transcript of remarks (English portion) by the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Raymond Tam, at a media session outside the Chief Executive's Office in the new Government Headquarters at Tamar this morning (August 8):

Director of the Chief Executive's Office: Normally, my understanding is that on every Tuesday, when the ExCo is in session, the arrangement will be the same as before, and that is on every Tuesday morning those citizens who want to petition or who want to make some demonstrations can do so in this area. And I'm sure the security guards and police here would facilitate their doing so. And each and every ExCo member, when they pass through this main entrance, would have sufficient opportunities to hear what people have to say and to receive any petitions that they would like, and this arrangement is no different from what we have been doing on Tuesdays.
