DGCA pays visit to Civil Aviation Administration of China (with photos)

Mr Liu called on Deputy Administrator of the CAAC Mr Cui Xiaofeng, and expressed his gratitude for the CAAC's support to the aviation industry of Hong Kong throughout the years. Mr Liu and Mr Cui exchanged views on matters of common interest of the Mainland and Hong Kong civil aviation sectors, and looked into ways to forge closer co-operation to grasp the opportunities presented by the National 14th Five-Year Plan to consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international aviation hub. With the epidemic subsiding, the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department looks forward to closer links and co-operation with the CAAC.
Mr Liu also met with Deputy Director of the Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) of the CAAC Mr Wen Xuezheng to foster mutual co-operation on air traffic management, with an aim to enhance the air traffic flow control efficiency of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the recovery of the aviation industry.
Mr Liu visited CAAC units including the Operation Supervisory Centre and Flight Inspection Centre, Beijing Daxing International Airport, as well as the trio of ATMB centres, namely the Operation Management Centre, Aviation Meteorological Centre and Aeronautical Information Service Centre, during his visit in Beijing.
Accompanying Mr Liu to Beijing were the Deputy Director-General of Civil Aviation, Mr Dominic Chow; the Assistant Director-General of Civil Aviation (Flight Standards), Miss Clara Wong; the Assistant Director-General of Civil Aviation (Air Traffic Engineering Services), Mr Hui Man-ho; and the Assistant Director-General of Civil Aviation (Air Traffic Management), Mr Tommy Au Yeung.
Mr Liu will return to Hong Kong tomorrow (March 31).
