Sessions on "Spirit of the President's Important Speech" held by Central and Western and Kwun Tong District Offices (with photos)

In addition to the four sessions held on July 19, 21, 25 and 29, the C&WDO today (August 8) held "Session to Learn About the Spirit of President Xi's Important Speech" at Kennedy Town Community Complex. Convenor of the Executive Council and Member of the Legislative Council (LegCo) Mrs Regina Ip was invited to be the keynote speaker. About 110 participants from various business and commercial associations of Central and Western District attended the session.
Further to the three sessions held on July 8, 10 and 13, the KTDO, together with the Laguna City Residents' Association, the Laguna City Lai Yin Women Association and the New Youth Forum, jointly held "Session to Learn About the Spirit of President Xi's Important Speech" at Sai Tso Wan Neighbourhood Community Centre on July 27. Professor of the Center for Basic Laws of Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions of Shenzhen University Dr Song Xiaozhuang was invited to be the keynote speaker. The Vice Chairman of the Kwun Tong District Council (KTDC), Mr Lui Tung-hai, also spoke to the audience. About 80 participants attended the session, including residents of Laguna City and elderly people in the district.
In addition, in order to encourage principals and teachers to promote the spirit of President Xi's important speech at schools so as to enable students to obtain a deeper understanding, the KTDO, in collaboration with the KTDC, the Kwun Tong Schools Liaison Committee and the Kwun Tong District School Development Section of the Education Bureau, jointly held "Session for the Kwun Tong Education Sector to Learn about, Promote and Implement the Spirit of President Xi's Important Speech" at Kai Yip Community Hall on August 3. Member of the LegCo Mr Tang Fei was invited to be the keynote speaker. The Chairman of the KTDC, Mr Wilson Or; the Acting District Officer (Kwun Tong), Miss Cherry Sum; the Chief School Development Officer (Kwun Tong) of the Education Bureau, Mr Simon Sit; and the Chairman of the Kwun Tong Schools Liaison Committee, Mr Wong Chi-keung, also spoke to the audience. About 200 participants attended the session, including the people from the education sector in Kwun Tong and parents.
