EMSD urges public to stop using model of Daewoo electric grill (with photos)
****************************************************************************
The Consumer Council commissioned an independent testing laboratory to conduct safety tests on 11 models of electric grills. To ensure electrical product safety, the EMSD has liaised with the relevant suppliers for following up on the test results. Among the test models, the aforementioned electric grill may pose a fire hazard due to failure of the protection device and abnormal usage. The supplier has therefore decided to arrange a recall of the concerned products for future replacement.
The affected batch of electric grills was on sale in Hong Kong from June to September 2021. For those who have purchased the aforementioned electric grills, please call the service hotline of the supplier at 3793 4069 (service hours from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday) to confirm whether their grills are part of the affected batch, and arrange a product replacement accordingly.
