Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Yau Tong and Sai Wan Ho to facilitate the holding of a swimming competition on October 16 (Sunday).

Yau Tong
--------

I. Road closure and traffic diversions

     Shung Shun Street between Tung Yuen Street near Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier and Lei Yue Mun Typhoon Shelter Breakwater Sitting Out Area will be closed from 10am on October 15 to noon the following day. Affected vehicles will be diverted via Tung Yuen Street.

     The following special traffic arrangements will be implemeted from 6pm on October 15 to noon the following day:

- Shung Shun Street between Sze Shan Street and Lei Yue Mun Typhoon Shelter Breakwater Sitting Out Area will be closed. Affected vehicles will be diverted via Sze Shan Street;
- The kerbside lane of southbound Shung Shun Street between Lei Yue Mun Path and Sze Shan Street will be closed. Affected vehicles will be diverted via Sze Shan Street;
- Tung Yuen Street between Shung Shun Street and Yan Yue Wai will be closed, except for vehicles heading for the car parks on Tung Yuen Street. Affected vehicles will be diverted via Ko Fai Road and Cha Kwo Ling Road;
- Yan Yue Wai between Shung Shun Street and the open-air car park will be closed. Vehicles heading for the car park will be diverted to turn left from southbound Tung Yuen Street to Yan Yue Wai;
- The lay-by of Yan Yue Wai from a point about ten metres west of its junction with Shung Shun Street to a point about 95 metres west of the same junction will be closed; and
- Yan Yue Wai (Tung Yuen Street bound) between Tung Yuen Street and the open-air carpark will be converted from two-lane-one-way traffic into two-lane-two-way traffic.

II. Suspension of parking spaces

     The following metered parking spaces will be suspended from 7pm on October 14 to noon on October 16:

- Four metered parking spaces in Shung Shun Street near Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier; and
- Two metered parking spaces in Tung Yuen Street near Shung Shun Street.

Sai Wan Ho
----------

     The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 10pm on October 15 to 2pm the following day:

I. Road closure

- The rightmost lane of Tai Hong Street and Lei King Road outside Lei King Wan; and
- The northern part of the roundabout on Hoi Yu Street outside the open-air car park, except for vehicles accessing or leaving the car park.

II. Suspension of parking spaces

- Thirty-eight metered parking spaces at Tai Hong Street near Lei King Road; and
- All on-street motorcycle parking spaces on Lei King Road near Hong Kong Film Archive.

     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior warning.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
