EMSD promotes best practices (with photos)

     The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) held the Electrical & Mechanical Best Practices Ceremony today (September 29) to introduce the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Best Practices Booklets and Handbooks to participants from the electrical and mechanical trade, academia and the property management sector, and launched an e-platform on electrical and mechanical (E&M) best practices.

     Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Mr Eric Pang, said that the EMSD seeks to promote best practices of E&M works through this set of booklets and handbooks, and hopes to pool together wisdom and efforts through the e-platform to promote co-operation and exchanges in the trade with a view to enhancing the O&M service quality. He encouraged the trade to adopt and promote best practices to make continuous progress.
      
     The O&M Best Practices Booklets and Handbooks comprise eight booklets covering heating, ventilation and air-conditioning installations, lift and escalator installations, electrical installations, fire service installations, solar photovoltaic systems, solar water heating systems, gas utilisation facilities and fuel systems of liquefied petroleum gas vehicles.
      
     Videos showing cases of best practices are available on the e-platform on E&M best practices to assist the industry to further promote best practices.
