LegCo Bills Committee visits West Kowloon Station of Hong Kong Section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:

     The Legislative Council (LegCo) Bills Committee on Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (Co-location) Bill conducted a visit today (April 30) to the West Kowloon Station of the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link so as to better understand the facilities of the station and the co-location arrangement.

     Accompanied by the Secretary for Transport and Housing, Mr Frank Chan Fan, and representatives of the MTR Corporation Limited, Members visited the facilities of the West Kowloon Station and toured along the departing and arriving passengers' routes to learn more about the co-location arrangement. 

     This visit to the West Kowloon Station is arranged by the Government for the four newly elected LegCo Members who have joined the Bills Committee further to the one conducted on February 27, 2018. Apart from the newly elected LegCo Members Mr Gary Fan, Mr Au Nok-hin, Mr Vincent Cheng and Mr Tony Tse, other participating members were Ms Claudia Mo, Mr Charles Mok, Mr Chan Chi-chuen, Mr Kwok Wai-keung, Dr Fernando Cheung, Dr Lo Wai-kwok, Mr Chu Hoi-dick, Ms Yung Hoi-yan, Dr Cheng Chung-tai and Mr Jeremy Tam.
