LD to hold occupational health public talks

The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders for Cleansing Workers" on October 19 (Thursday). The talk will introduce the common causes and preventive measures of musculoskeletal disorders in cleaning workers to enhance their awareness of occupational health. Demonstration and practice of workplace exercise will be included.

     The talk will be held at 3pm in the Health Education Room of the Occupational Safety and Health Centre of the LD, G/F, Kwun Tong Community Health Centre Building, 60 Hip Wo Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Occupational Health for Workers in Pre-primary Services" on October 24 (Tuesday). To enhance workers' awareness of occupational health, the talk will elaborate on occupational health hazards and preventive measures for workers in pre-primary services. Demonstration and practice of workplace exercise will also be included.

The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free. For enquiries or registration, please call 2852 4040.
