S for S pays home visits under "Celebrations for All" project in Tuen Mun (with photos)

     The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, visited elderly households and families in need in Tuen Mun under the "Celebrations for All" project today (June 12).

     Officiating at the launch ceremony, Mr Lai presented certificates of appreciation to social welfare bodies and local organisations whose volunteers would take part in home visits to elderly households and families in need in Tuen Mun to learn more about their living conditions and provide assistance.

     Mr Lai expressed his heartfelt thanks to the volunteers, wishing that the residents would enjoy the celebratory atmosphere of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the warmest regards extended by the volunteers through home visits.

     Accompanied by the District Officer (Tuen Mun), Ms Aubrey Fung, and the Chairman of the Tuen Mun District Council, Mr Leung Kin-man, Mr Lai visited six households in Butterfly Estate and distributed gift packs to them to share the joy of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.

     The Under Secretary for Security, Mr John Lee, also took part in today's home visits.
