International Arts Carnival to offer summer fun for all (with photos)
*********************************************************************
In this year's carnival, performing groups from the Mainland, Australia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Spain, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States, along with local groups, will present a variety of programmes including acrobatics, dance theatre, music theatre, shadow puppetry, interactive installation, bubble theatre, shadow theatre, multimedia theatre and magic. Films from around the world will also be screened.
The breathtaking acrobatic show "Pizzazz!" by the China National Acrobatic Troupe will start the festival with an amazing display of precision, energy and striking feats such as diabolo routines, balancing acts and tumbling through hoops to present an astounding action-packed encounter.
Fireflies Shadow Theater of Ukraine will perform its showcase "Shadow Space", featuring imaginative storytelling and blending cool visuals and acrobatics to take the audience on an adventure into whimsical realms of light and shadow.
Employing bubbles, stunning lighting and a laser show finale, Fan Yang Productions International from the US will create a dazzling wonderland in "Gazillion Bubble Show", an off-Broadway smash hit with a continuous 10-year run.
Audiences can design and build their dream residences in the creative installation "Home Sweet Home" by the UK's Subject to_change, and experience community life with other participants.
Local participation is equally creative. Members of the public should not miss the family musical "Cooking Papa" by the Theatre Wonderland, magic and music theatre in "How are you, neighbour?" by Harry Wong, and the musical "Éphémère the Little Witch" by Hong Kong 3 Arts Musical Institute.
