Flower Viewing and Sketching@Lai Chi Kok Park to be held on April 9 (with photos)
*********************************************************************************
During the guided tours, the LCSD's landscape instructors will lead the participants to appreciate and learn more about different species of flowers and plants such as hydrangea, rose and marigold while touring Lai Chi Kok Park. In addition, souvenirs will be distributed in the quizzes on flower knowledge after the tours.
Participants can also take part in the painting workshops and enjoy the fun of sketching or colouring at designated areas in the park with the guidance of drawing instructors and provision of drawing tools. Other fun-filled activities will include game booths, a "wishing tree" photo corner and stage performances. Admission is free. People of all ages are welcome to join on the spot and "storm the park" together.
The LCSD's "Storm the Park" series has so far attracted more than 5 000 people to join in and have fun, including the first event, Frisbee Day, in December last year, and the two roving fun day programmes, Orienteering@Park and Fitness@Park, held in January and February.
Flower Viewing and Sketching@Lai Chi Kok Park will be held at Lai Chi Kok Park from 2pm to 5pm on April 9 (Sunday). People are welcome to join on the spot free of charge. For enquiries, please contact the Sham Shui Po District Leisure Services Office at 2386 0945 during office hours, or visit the LCSD webpage www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/storm/days.html.
