Regulations to implement Resolution 2231 of United Nations Security Council against Iran gazetted

"To fully implement Resolution 2231 of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the Repeal Regulation repeals the United Nations Sanctions (Iran) Regulation to reflect the UNSC's decision to terminate the provisions of previous Resolutions against Iran, and the JCPOA—Iran Regulation implements a series of specific restrictions established by Annex B to Resolution 2231," a Government spokesman said.
The restrictions under the JCPOA—Iran Regulation include:
- prohibition against the supply, sale, transfer or carriage of conventional arms, nuclear-related item or ballistic missile-related item to Iran;
- prohibition against the supply, sale, transfer or carriage of arms or related materiel or ballistic missile-related item from Iran;
- prohibition against the provision of certain training, services or assistance related to conventional arms;
- prohibition against the provision or transfer of certain assistance, training, services or resources related to nuclear-related items;
- prohibition against the provision or transfer of certain technology, assistance, training, services or resources related to ballistic missiles;
- prohibition against making available to certain persons or entities any funds or other financial assets or economic resources, or dealing with funds or other financial assets or economic resources of certain persons or entities;
- prohibition against the sale and acquisition of interest in ballistic missile commercial activity or uranium commercial activity; and
- prohibition against entry into or transit through the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region by certain persons.
