Proposed sewerage works for development at Kam Tin South, Yuen Long, approved

The sewerage scheme comprises the following:
(i) construction of about 1 380 metres of gravity sewers and associated manholes to connect with the existing sewerage system at Kam Tai Road; and
(ii) ancillary works including reinstatement of existing carriageways, footpaths and verges.
Construction works for the sewerage scheme are to be carried out in conjunction with the proposed road works for the development at Kam Tin South, Yuen Long, by the Civil Engineering and Development Department.
"The scheme will provide the essential sewerage infrastructure to properly handle the sewage generated from the proposed development at Kam Tin South," a Government spokesman said.
Details of the sewerage scheme were published in the Government Gazette on March 24 and April 1, 2016.
