The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 17) that due to maintenance or renovation works, the following leisure facilities will be temporarily closed:
Due to renovation works, basketball court No. 2 at Ap Lei Chau Park in Southern District will be temporarily closed from September 1 to November 22. The park's hard-surfaced soccer pitch will be temporarily closed from October 29 to December 24 and basketball court No. 1 will be temporarily closed from December 3 to 24.
The activity room at Ngau Tau Kok Road Sports Centre in Kwun Tong District will be temporarily closed for replacement of the air-conditioning system from September 17 to 30. Other facilities in the sports centre will remain open. During the period, the public may use similar facilities at the nearby Chun Wah Road Sports Centre.
The arena at Yeung Uk Road Sports Centre in Tsuen Wan District will be temporarily closed for renovation from October 1 to December 31, while the lecture room and table tennis room will be temporarily closed from November 1 to January 31 next year. Other facilities in the sports centre will remain open. During the period, the public may use similar facilities at Wai Tsuen Sports Centre, Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre or Tsuen King Circuit Sports Centre in the same district.
