The following is issued on behalf of the Secretariat of the Independent Review Committee for the Prevention and Handling of Potential Conflicts of Interests:
The Independent Review Committee for the Prevention and Handling of Potential Conflicts of Interests is reviewing the existing regulatory frameworks and procedures for the prevention and handling of potential conflicts of interests concerning the Chief Executive, Members of the Executive Council and politically appointed officials. The Independent Review Committee will, in light of the review, make recommendations to improve the existing frameworks and procedures.
The Independent Review Committee is inviting the community to submit their views on the matters being reviewed on or before April 16. The Committee will also organise a public forum for members of the public to express their views:

Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre, 4/F, West Block,
Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre
(19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong;
MTR Kowloon Tong Station Exit E)
About half of the seats of the public forum will be available for members of the public to book on a first-come, first-served basis, and those interested may call 8108 8731 during office hours from March 29 onwards to book their seats. The remaining seats will be available for members of the public to take on the day of the public forum on a queuing basis (except for a small number of reserved seats). The forum will be conducted primarily in Cantonese. Participants may express their views in Cantonese, Putonghua or English.
