Police Recruitment Day to be held on July 16
********************************************

The Hong Kong Police Force will organise the ¡°Police Recruitment Day¡± at the Police Headquarters at Wan Chai on July 16 (Saturday).

The event, being part of the Force¡¯s recruitment campaign for the financial year 2011/12, serves to attract this year¡¯s high calibre Form Seven graduates and other aspiring young people to join the Force.

It will provide one-stop service to applicants for the post of Probationary Inspector, which includes initial screening (height and weight measurement and eyesight test) and scheduling of written examination, and to applicants for the post of Recruit Police Constable with initial screening and group interview.  The selection process will thus be shortened for about three weeks and Recruit Police Constable applicants attending the Recruitment Day may start their foundation training in Police College as early as October.

There will also be four sessions of career talk at the event for applicants to acquire general interview skills and to better prepare themselves for the subsequent selection process.

Those interested in joining the Force and attending the Recruitment Day are requested to complete the on-line application form for Police Inspector/Police Constable at www.police.gov.hk/recruitment on or before July 12 (Tuesday).

This year, the Force aims to recruit 920 police officers, including 170 Probationary Inspectors and 750 Recruit Police Constables who possess the competences required of a police officer, share the same values of the Force and endeavour to become a professional police officer to serve our community.
