The following is issued on behalf of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority:
The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (December 17) obtained two orders for payment of outstanding MPF contributions of about $110,000 against two employers at the District Court.
The two employers were Oasis Health Limited and Noble Logistics (Worldwide) Limited. They were ordered to pay the MPFA $59,589.25 and $52,405.67 respectively, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to four and nine employees of the respective defendants.
The amounts awarded will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. The District Court also ordered each defendant to pay $930 as the costs of the claim.
