The following is issued on behalf of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority:
The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (December 9) obtained four orders for the payment of outstanding MPF contributions of about $520,000 against four employers at the District Court.
The four employers are DCDC (HK) Limited, Goldwell Construction Limited, Profit Luck Investment Limited trading as Dor Hay Seafood Restaurant and Regent Point Promotion Limited. They were ordered to pay the MPFA $184,327.38, $142,961.1, $136,417.37 and $57,230 respectively, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to 18, 31, 50 and four employees of the respective defendants.
The amounts awarded will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. The District Court also ordered each defendant to pay $930 as the costs of the claim.
