The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene has ordered a food premises in Mong Kok to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.
The food premises (¡®¸£À´¾Ó¡¯), at ground floor, 379E Portland Street and ground floor, 4-6 Ki Lung Street, was ordered to suspend business from today (March 19) to April 1.
¡°In April and December last year, there were two convictions in respect of unauthorised extension of food business at the food premises,¡± a Food and Environmental Hygiene Department spokesman said.
¡°A total fine of $5,100 was levied and 30 demerit points were registered against the licensee under the department's demerit points system. The contraventions resulted in the 14-day business suspension.¡±
He said the food premises also had convictions in August 2007 and April last year for the same offence.
¡°A total fine of $4,500 was levied and 30 demerit points were registered against the licensee. The breaches led to business suspension for seven days from June 23 to 29 last year,¡± the spokesman said.
He reminded licensees of food premises to comply with the Food Business Regulation, or their licences could be suspended or cancelled.
