Sham Shui Po food premises ordered to suspend business

     The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene has ordered a food premises in Sham Shui Po to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.

     The food premises (贈᎕), on ground floor, rear portion of 1A Wing Lung street, was ordered to suspend business from today (June 9) to June 22.

     䩕In May 2007 and March this year, there were two convictions in respect of food preparation and storage in open space,蒅 a Food and Environmental Hygiene Department spokesman said.

     䩕A total fine of $2,800 was levied and 15 demerit points were registered against the licensee under the department's demerit points system. The contraventions resulted in the 14-day business suspension.蒅

     He said the food premises also had convictions in January and April 2006 for the same offences.

     䩕A total fine of $3,100 was levied and 15 demerit points were registered against the licensee. The breaches led to business suspension for seven days from September 22 to 28, 2006,蒅 the spokesman said.

     He reminded licensees of food premises to comply with the Food Business Regulation, or their licences could be suspended or cancelled.
