LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
A NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING THE COAST OF GUANGDONG.
MEANWHILE, SHOWERS ARE AFFECTING THE COASTAL AREAS.
BESIDES, THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR LUZON IS
INTENSIFYING GRADUALLY. A TROPICAL CYCLONE APPEARS TO BE
FORMING.


 
TYPHOON BEBINCA HAS WEAKENED INTO A SEVERE TROPICAL STORM.
AT 4 P.M., BEBINCA WAS CENTRED ABOUT 130 KILOMETRES WEST OF
SHANGHAI. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18
KILOMETRES PER HOUR INLAND OVER EASTERN CHINA AND CONTINUE
TO WEAKEN.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE AROUND 27 DEGREES TOMORROW MORNING. HOT WITH SUNNY
PERIODS DURING THE DAY. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE
ABOUT 32 DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF
DEGREES HIGHER IN THE NEW TERRITORIES. ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS LATER. MODERATE NORTHEASTERLY WINDS,
FRESHENING FROM THE EAST LATER TOMORROW.


 
OUTLOOK : MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT DURING THE DAY ON THE
DAY AFTER MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL. IT WILL BE WINDIER. THERE
WILL BE A FEW SHOWERS IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS.
