HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A BROAD TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE ARE AFFECTING THE COAST OF GUANGDONG AND THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA. LOCALLY, HEAVY
SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON BROUGHT MORE THAN 30 MILLIMETRES OF
RAINFALL TO MANY PLACES, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 70
MILLIMETRES OVER SHA TIN DISTRICT.
AT NOON, TROPICAL DEPRESSION JONGDARI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 170
KILOMETRES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF OKINAWA. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE NORTH AT ABOUT 22 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE EAST
CHINA SEA.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND A FEW SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS. MODERATE TO FRESH SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS.
OUTLOOK : SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES WITH SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. SHOWERS WILL EASE
OFF GRADUALLY IN THE LATTER PART OF THIS WEEK. THE WEATHER
WILL IMPROVE AND IT WILL BE VERY HOT DURING THE DAY.
