HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE IS COVERING SOUTHEASTERN CHINA.
MEANWHILE, SHOWERS ARE AFFECTING THE COAST OF GUANGDONG AND
THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.


 
AT 4 A.M., THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE CENTRAL PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA WAS CENTRED ABOUT 340 KILOMETRES
EAST-SOUTHEAST OF XISHA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
CENTRAL PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.
 
MEANWHILE, THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE WESTERN NORTH
PACIFIC WAS CENTRED ABOUT 980 KILOMETRES EAST OF MANILA. IT
IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 15 KILOMETRES PER
HOUR ACROSS THE SEAS EAST OF THE PHILIPPINES.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE ABOUT 27 DEGREES IN THE MORNING. SUNNY INTERVALS
DURING THE DAY WITH A MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF AROUND 32
DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF DEGREES HIGHER
IN THE NEW TERRITORIES. MODERATE EAST TO SOUTHEASTERLY
WINDS, FRESH LATER. THERE WILL BE SWELLS.


 
OUTLOOK : THERE WILL BE SQUALLY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS. IT WILL BE WINDY OFFSHORE
AND ON HIGH GROUND. THERE WILL BE SWELLS. STILL A FEW
SHOWERS MIDWEEK NEXT WEEK.
