Government appoints members to Hospital Authority

Among the new members appointed, Professor Chiu Wai-yan is appointed in the capacity of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong for a period of two years from February 27, 2024, to February 26, 2026. The other two new members, Professor Zhang Zhang-jin and Mr Matthew Kwok Pui-ho, will be appointed for a period of two years from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026.
Professor Zhang is the Professor and Coordinator of Chinese Medicine Service for Hospital and Development of the School of Chinese Medicine of the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is also the Chief of Service (COS) of the Department of Chinese Medicine of the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital and COS of the Department of Chinese Medicine of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong.
Mr Kwok is an Advanced Practice Occupational Therapist of Pok Oi Hospital.
Among the serving members reappointed, Professor Lau Chak-sing continues to serve as an HA member in his capacity of the Dean of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of HKU for a period of two years from February 27, 2024, to February 26, 2026. The other two serving members, Ms Margaret Cheng Wai-ching and Ms Mary Huen Wai-yi, will be reappointed for a period of two years from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026.
The Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau, welcomed the three new members joining the HA. He also expressed gratitude to the three serving members reappointed and extended heartfelt thanks to the outgoing members, Professor Francis Chan Ka-leung and Dr Leung Wing-cheong, for their invaluable contribution to the HA.
