Fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui

At about 3.20pm, a minibus driven by a 66-year-old man was travelling along Wo Tai Street towards Wo Muk Road. When turning right to Wo Muk Road, it reportedly knocked down the woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious leg injuries, the woman was rushed to North District Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.09pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
