SCST congratulates Lam San-tung and Wong Wai-chun on winning first gold medal for Hong Kong, China in Asian Games Hangzhou (with photos)

     ýÿThe Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Kevin Yeung, today (September 24) congratulated rowing athletes Lam San-tung and Wong Wai-chun on winning a gold medal in Rowing Men's Pair at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou (Asian Games). This is the first gold medal won by the Hong Kong, China Delegation in the Hangzhou Asian Games this year. 

     Mr Yeung said in Hangzhou, "Lam and Wong brought their talent into full play and strived for the best. It is encouraging to see them winning the first gold for the Hong Kong, China team in the Hangzhou Asian Games this year and bringing glory to Hong Kong. Having witnessed their triumph in person, I could feel athletes’ concentration during competition and their joy after winning. With the Hong Kong, China Delegation getting off to a flying start, I wish Hong Kong athletes continue to shine in the Hangzhou Asian Games."
