EMSD urges public to stop using affected models of Bose bass modules (with photos)
**********************************************************************************
The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) today (July 5) urged the public to stop using Bose bass modules (either in black or white color) that were sold with Acoustimass, Lifestyle and Companion home theatre systems. The public should unplug the affected bass modules and contact the supplier of the products, Bose Limited, for arranging free repair.

The affected bass modules are listed in the Appendix. According to the manufacturer of the products, the electrical components of the bass modules may fail and pose a low risk of ignition around the electrical components under very rare circumstances.

The public can visit the website of Bose Limited (support.bose.com/am-recall) or call the service hotline of the company at 2123 9000 (from 9am to 6pm, Mondays to Fridays) to confirm whether their bass modules are affected and arrange free repair.
