EDB announces results of School Cleaning Video Production Competition

In support of the Government's action to enhance the overall environmental hygiene and cityscape in Hong Kong, the EDB launched School Cleaning Activities in January this year. Students could take action and join hands with teachers, parents and other stakeholders to create a clean school environment, thereby cultivating students' good environmental hygiene habits and civic awareness as well as encouraging them to put positive values and attitudes, such as diligence, responsibility and law-abidingness, into everyday practices. The EDB also organised the School Cleaning Video Production Competition in collaboration with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department for enhancing students' awareness of environmental cleanliness and rodent prevention and control, as well as promoting good practices in keeping a hygienic school environment.
A spokesman for the EDB said that the video production competition attracted an overwhelming response, with 217 entries from 151 schools received. Among these, a number of quality entries promoted the importance of keeping the environment clean in a creative, lively and interesting style. The awarded entries showed that students are able to reflect on their personal hygienic habits and come up with good practices in keeping the environment clean. The entries also demonstrated the schools' concerted efforts and achievements in keeping the schools clean. The list of awardees of the video production competition is as follows:
