Civil Aid Service held presentation ceremony for Penny's Bay commemorative booklet "958 days in Penny's Bay" (with photos)
******************************************************************************************
The Civil Aid Service (CAS) on June 16 held at its headquarters a presentation ceremony for the Penny's Bay commemorative booklet "958 days in Penny's Bay". Witnessed by the Secretary for Security, Mr Tang Ping-keung, and the Under Secretary for Security, Mr Michael Cheuk, members of the CAS anti-epidemic team were presented with the commemorative booklets.

Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Dr Chuang Tze-cheung handed over 2,000 special booklets printed under the sponsorship in the name of his late father Mr Chuang Yung-chao to the Commissioner of the CAS, Mr Lo Yan-lai, and the Chief Staff Officer of the CAS, Mr Leung Kwun-hong. The commemorative booklets were then presented to members of the CAS anti-epidemic team to recognise the professionalism they showcased during the epidemic and their dedication in protecting the health of Hong Kong citizens. A collection of photos and sharings have been included in the commemorative booklet to document the 958-day anti-epidemic work in Penny's Bay. Members of the CAS anti-epidemic team attended the presentation ceremony to show their support.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Leung reviewed the anti-epidemic work in Penny's Bay over the past three years and thanked the Security Bureau for their trust and support. As early as the beginning of the epidemic, CAS members had taken on the mission of frontline quarantine work, risking infection to provide support services for the isolation facility. He saluted each and every member and thanked Dr Chuang for his support and recognition.

Dr Chuang, in his speech, expressed his great honour in paying tribute to the CAS volunteers, who fearlessly and selflessly fought against the epidemic. He expressed his desire to care for society, contribute to the community and serve Hong Kong with his own effort, upholding his father's aspirations. Dr Chuang also gave words of encouragement to the CAS members who attended the event.
