Assessment Committee for the Funding Scheme to Support Transitional Housing Projects by Non-government Organisations convenes meeting (with photos)

     ýÿA meeting of the Assessment Committee for the Funding Scheme to Support Transitional Housing Projects by Non-government Organisations, chaired by the Under Secretary for Housing, Mr Victor Tai, was convened this afternoon (April 25).  

     The Assessment Committee agreed to subsidise the following transitional housing projects: 

(i) Transitional housing project "Light Factory" in an industrial building in Yau Tong by Light Be (Yau Tong Social Housing) Company Limited. With a total funding of $91.3 million, the project is expected to provide 166 units; and

(ii) Extension of eight transitional housing projects operated by four non-government organisations with the use of hotels and guesthouses in Kowloon (including Kowloon City, Sham Shui Po, Kwun Tong and Yau Tsim Mong) by two years. With a total funding of $62.496 million, the projects are expected to provide about 555 units.
