DH announces lead door detached incident at Fanling School Dental Clinic

     The Department of Health (DH) today (March 30) announced that a lead door of an X-ray room of Fanling School Dental Clinic was detached yesterday (March 29). A staff member had sustained minor injury to the chest and back and received treatment at the North District Hospital without hospitalisation. The DH is highly concerned about the incident and is actively following up on the situation with the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD).

     Fanling School Dental Clinic is located at 2/F, Fanling Health Centre, 2 Pik Fung Road, Fanling. The use of the X-ray room is currently suspended. The service of the clinic has not been affected.

     �Upon learning of the incident, the DH has contacted the ArchSD immediately for urgent maintenance and inspection. The DH will confer the necessary assistance for thorough inspection by the relevant works departments against the lead doors of X-ray rooms in the building and all DH's clinics.
