LegCo Panel on Transport visits Hong Kong Productivity Council (with photos)

The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Transport visited Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) today (March 28) to learn about the latest development of HKPC and the innovation projects in various fields including the promotion of smart mobility.
Accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of HKPC, Mr Emil Yu, Members first received a briefing on the game plan of HKPC by the Executive Director of HKPC, Mr Mohamed Butt. Members then visited Hong Kong Automotive Platforms and Application Systems R&D Centre of HKPC and observed demonstrations of the E-Transporter as well as other robotics projects, to understand how HKPC had been strengthening the competitiveness and development of the relevant industry by commercialisation of R&D results.
Members also toured the R&D Centres and exhibition halls to better understand the new techniques and R&D projects in the fields of the new industrialisation, innovation and technology education and electromagnetic compatibility.
Members participating in the visit were the Panel Chairman Mr Chan Han-pan, Deputy Chairman Ir Chan Siu-hung and Panel members Mr Michael Tien, Mr Chau Siu-chung, Mr Yang Wing-kit and Mr Tang Ka-piu; as well as non-Panel members Mr Andrew Lam and Ms Judy Chan.
