Tuen Mun Hospital announces two safety incidents of hospital facilities

A spokesman for Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) made the following announcement today (March 20) regarding two safety incidents of hospital facilities:
One piece of false ceiling at the corridor outside a doctor's office located at the main block of TMH fell down early this morning. Maintenance staff have arranged and completed emergency repairs this morning. After inspection, it was believed that the incident was caused by water seepage at a drainage pipe. The incident did not involve structural safety of the building.
In addition, a fire door located at the main block of TMH collapsed this morning. After inspection by maintenance staff, it was believed that the incident was caused by the wearing of door hinge. Maintenance works of the fire door concerned are arranged.
No patients or staff were injured in the incidents and patient service was not affected.
The hospital has reported the incident to the Hospital Authority Head Office via the Advance Incident Reporting System.
