LegCo to debate motion on promoting integration of Hong Kong people and businesses into overall development of country

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
The Legislative Council (LegCo) will hold a meeting on March 22 (Wednesday) at 11am in the Chamber of the LegCo Complex. During the meeting, Members will debate a motion on promoting the integration of Hong Kong people and businesses into the overall development of the country. The motion, moved by Dr Chow Man-kong, is set out in Appendix 1. Dr Johnny Ng, Mr Yim Kong and Dr Kennedy Wong will move separate amendments to Dr Chow's motion.
Dr So Cheung-wing will also move a motion on strengthening and expanding the advantage of Hong Kong as the largest offshore Renminbi business centre. The motion is set out in Appendix 2. Mr Rock Chen will move an amendment to Dr So's motion.
On Member's Bill, the Lingnan University (Amendment) Bill 2023 will be introduced into the Council for the First Reading and the Second Reading. The Second Reading debate on the Bill will be adjourned.
Members will also ask the Government 22 questions on various policy areas, six of which require oral replies.
