Man sentenced for violating Prevention and Control of Disease Regulation

The man earlier tested positive for COVID-19 and was issued with an isolation order. Before the end of the isolation period, he left the place of isolation and removed his electronic wristband on November 19, 20 and 21 last year. He was charged with three counts of contravening sections 23(1), (3) and (5) and three counts of contravening sections 23(1), (4) and (5) of the Regulation and was fined a total of $18,000 by the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts today.
