Flower Viewing and Sketching P¡ Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens finale presentation of Happy@Parks campaign

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will hold the Flower Viewing and SketchingD¡Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens (HKZBG) event on December 18 (Sunday) as the finale of its Happy@Parks campaign. Members of the public will be able to continue the joyful ambience in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) through activities, including viewing and sketching flowers, by joining painting workshops, colouring activities as well as online and offline guided tours. This event is under the exclusive sponsorship of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and is one of the many initiatives supported by the HKJC's approved donation of $630 million to the Government of the HKSAR to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, demonstrating that the HKJC is resolute in pursuing its purpose of acting continuously for the betterment of society, all in support of creating a stronger community together.
 
     The event will be held in the HKZBG from 2pm to 5pm on that day. The LCSD's horticulture instructors will lead the participants to appreciate and learn more about different species of winter flowering plants while touring the HKZBG on the spot or via the Facebook pages of "LCSD+++" live online. To add extra fun to the event, souvenirs will be distributed during quizzes on flower knowledge after the guided tours. Participants can also take part in the painting workshops and enjoy the fun of sketching or colouring at designated areas in the park with the guidance of drawing instructors. Moreover, 25 pairs of the LCSD's mascots, namely Enggie Pup and Artti Kitty, in different sizes and styles will be installed in the park. Participants are welcome to draw these lively mascots with drawing tools provided by the organiser. Other fun-filled activities will include game booths, orienteering games and stage performances. Admission is free. People of all ages are welcome to join on the spot.      In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F), participants must scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code before being allowed to enter, and comply with the mask-wearing requirement.
 
     In accordance with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, all persons entering or remaining at the venue must comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass. According to the current requirement on the Vaccine Pass, all persons with their Vaccine Pass QR codes displayed in red are not allowed to enter while patrons holding amber codes are allowed to enter, but are still required to comply with the vaccination requirements under the Vaccine Pass.
 
     To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, the LCSD is holding a series of Happy@Parks activities with various themes from June to December this year in six LCSD parks, with all of the activities exclusively sponsored by the HKJC and allowing users to experience a joyful atmosphere with their family on holidays through a variety of activities and games. 
 
     Moreover, the Happy@Parks Flower Viewing and Sketching · Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens has joined the "iAM Smart" Reward Scheme. There will be an "iAM Smart" registration counter at the venue, and dedicated staff will assist members of the public to register for "iAM Smart" and collect an electronic stamp.
