Murder in Sau Mau Ping

At 4.38pm yesterday, Police received a report from a nurse that he failed to contact the 50-year-old woman resided in a unit in Sheung Wing House, Upper Ngau Tau Kok Estate.
Police officers sped to the scene. After firemen forcibly opened the door, the woman’s 25-year-old son was found inside the unit. Officers later found the woman lying unconsciously inside a room of the unit. Sustaining multiple injuries to her body, the woman was certified dead at scene.
The 25-year-old son was arrested for murder and is being detained for enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Sau Mau Ping District is underway.
