Co-organised with the Hong Kong Singapore Business Association, the event was part of the Singapore ETO's celebratory events for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
In his event address, the Director of the Singapore ETO, Mr Wong Chun To, pointed out that Hong Kong was blessed with immense opportunities under various strategies and initiatives promulgated by the Central Government, notably the National 14th Five-Year Plan, which supports Hong Kong's development of eight international centres and emerging industries.
"As Asia's leading world-class city and one of the world's most competitive economies, Hong Kong will continue to be the prime partner for businesses to tap the vast business potential in Mainland China, in particular the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and beyond," Mr Wong added.
During the luncheon, the 25th anniversary theme song "Heading Forward" was also screened. Featuring a total of 28 local and Mainland singers, the song encourages young people to seize new opportunities for Hong Kong made possible by the country, and work together to enable Hong Kong to move forward in sustaining prosperity and stability.
The Singapore ETO will continue to organise a series of events in the coming months to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.
