LegCo Panel on Commerce and Industry visits Hong Kong Productivity Council (with photos)

The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Commerce and Industry visited the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) today (June 20) to better understand the work of HKPC and its latest research and development (R&D) projects.
Accompanied by the Chairman of HKPC, Mr Willy Lin, Members first received a briefing by the Executive Director of HKPC, Mr Mohamed Butt, on the game plan of HKPC. Members then visited the "Made in Hong Kong" Theme Hall in the HKPC Building to learn about the work of HKPC on promoting re-industrialisation in Hong Kong and the local successful cases.
Members also visited the R&D Centres and exhibition halls to observe demonstrations of the latest R&D projects in the fields of green technology, artificial intelligence and robotics, smart machinery, food technology, automotive technology and electromagnetic compatibility.
Meanwhile, Members also received briefings from the representatives of HKPC on the Government funding schemes with HKPC as the secretariat, the support services provided by the "SME ReachOut" team, as well as the "FutureSkills" training programs offered by HKPC Academy to equip students with the essential skills in the future workplace.
A total of nine members and non-members of the Panel on Commerce and Industry attended the visit.
