Open Fire in Central

Police are investigating an attempted wounding and possession of offensive weapon case happened in Central in the small hours today (June 10), in which three men were injured.
At about 2.40am, Police received a report that a wounding case happened in the vicinity of 46 Wyndham Street and someone opened fire.
Police officers sped to the scene. After initial investigation, officers arrested a 24-year-old local man and three non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) men, aged from 23 to 42, for attempted wounding and possession of offensive weapon. One of the NEC men, aged 36, sustaining leg injury, was sent to Queen Mary Hospital in conscious state. Officers also found that two other men were injured. A 25-year-old NEC man sustaining injuries in abdomen and a 30-year-old NEC man sustaining head injury were rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in unconscious state.
All arrestees are being detained for further enquiries.
A bullet head, a bullet casing and nine knives in suspected connection with the case were seized at the aforesaid location.
Besides, at about 5.50am, Police received a report that a private car was on fire on Kam Po Road, Pat Heung. Firemen sped to the scene and put out the fire. Initial investigation revealed that the car is related to the open fire case. The case is classified as arson.
Investigation by Organised Crime and Triad Bureau is underway. Police do not rule out the possibility that more arrests will be made. Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 6277 1708.
