HA announces passing away of two COVID-19 patients

The spokesman for the Hospital Authority announced today (February 15) that two patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection passed away with details as follows:
A 100-year-old female patient with chronic illness tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19 was admitted to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for isolation treatment on February 14. Her condition suddenly deteriorated tonight and eventually succumbed at 8.01pm.
In addition, a three-year-old girl tested positive for COVID-19 was transferred to Hong Kong Children's Hospital paediatric intensive care unit in critical condition on February 13. The patient's condition continued to deteriorate and eventually succumbed at 8.37pm.
The hospitals are saddened about the passing away of the patients and would offer the necessary assistance to their families.
Including these two patients, 217 patients confirmed or preliminary confirmed for COVID-19 infection passed away in public hospitals so far.
