Exchange between Hong Kong and Mainland experts to pursue gradual resumption of quarantine-free travel

To enhance mutual understanding, a video conference exchange was conducted between the experts and relevant officials of the HKSAR Government and the Mainland authorities on November 2 to further discuss and elaborate on the feedback and information provided by the HKSAR Government in response to the first meeting held between the two sides on September 26. The video conference exchange was constructive, heading towards the goal of resumption of quarantine-free travel, and was conducive to the forthcoming second meeting.
The HKSAR Government expressed gratitude to the Central Government for its support and care to the anti-epidemic work of HKSAR all along, and also for its prompt response to the HKSAR Government in organising a video conference exchange with relevant authorities. The HKSAR Government will continue to work towards the goal of "zero infection", and guard sternly against the importation of cases and the resurgence of local infections. The HKSAR Government will also continue to strengthen and put forward various anti-epidemic measures in accordance with the principle of joint prevention and control, in order to ensure that resumption of quarantine-free travel would not impose additional risk to the anti-epidemic work in the Mainland.
