Film Archive to present free screening of "Sun, Moon and Star"

The films will be screened at the HKFA Cinema. Admission is free with tickets which will be distributed at the box office of the HKFA starting tomorrow (August 21) on Monday and from Wednesday to Sunday from noon to 5pm. Each person can receive up to two tickets on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last. Audience members attending "Cine Memories of the War of National Resistance" will receive a complimentary limited edition set of postcards of "Sun, Moon and Star" after the screening.
Directed by Evan Yang and scripted by Qin Yifu, "Sun, Moon and Star (Part 1)" and "Sun, Moon and Star (Concluding Episode)" are set against the backdrop of anti-Japanese aggression, depicting the complicated relationships, turbulent lives and thoughts of passionate youths before and after the war. Regarded as an epic literary work, the story tells of the three memorable tales of love of the male lead (Chang Yang) with the three female leads Julie Yeh Feng ("Sun"), Grace Chang ("Moon") and Lucilla You Min ("Star"). The films are in Mandarin without subtitles.
