Protestors hurled miscellaneous objects towards police officers on Sai Yeung Choi Street South

At around 4.40pm today (September 6), some rioters hurled miscellaneous objects including umbrellas, bottles and hard objects towards police officers on Sai Yeung Choi Street South. Apart from the police officers, there were a lot of members of the public and reporters nearby. Such miscellaneous objects were thrown right next to or above the crowd, which may cause injuries if any members of the crowd were hit.

Police strongly condemn such acts, which may harm members of the public indiscriminately. Police will continue to step up patrol and take resolute enforcement actions against the violence acts by the rioters.
