Kwong Wah Hospital announces passing away of COVID-19 patient

The spokesperson for the Kwong Wah Hospital (KWH) today (September 6 ) announced that a 69-year-old female patient confirmed with COVID-19 infection (case no. 2792) passed away last night (September 5).
The patient with chronic disease was admitted to KWH on July 27 after being tested positive for COVID-19. She was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on July 30. After treatment, the patient was tested negative for Covid-19 virus. Her condition continued to deteriorate and she eventually succumbed at 10.04pm last evening.
The hospital was saddened about the passing away of the patient and will offer necessary assistance to her family.
Including the above patient, 94 COVID-19 patients have passed away in public hospitals so far.
