SHA expresses deep sorrow at passing of the Most Venerable Chi Wai

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, today (July 14) expressed deep condolences on the passing of the Most Venerable Chi Wai, the Honorary President of the Hong Kong Buddhist Association.

     Mr Lau said, "The Most Venerable Chi Wai dedicated his life to Buddhism. The Po Lin Monastery under his leadership flourished and blessed the Buddhist community. His tremendous contributions also included promoting the Buddhist compassion through charity works and actively participating in social matters. He will always be remembered."
