Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected methamphetamine (with photo)

Customs officers intercepted a man in Kwun Tong yesterday evening and found about 540 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside a recycled bag he was carrying. The man, aged 17, was arrested.
Acting on information, the same evening Customs officers examined a private vehicle in Tai Po and found about 670 grams of suspected methamphetamine on board the vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
