Police yesterday (September 4) concluded a territory-wide campaign to promote road safety messages to drivers, teachers, parents and students.
Police officers visited 481 schools and distributed more than 9,200 leaflets to drivers of school buses, teachers and parents to draw their attention to road safety of school children yesterday.
Police also took stringent enforcement action against undesirable driving behaviours such as illegal parking or stopping which obstructed students to get on or off their school buses safely. A total of 658 fixed penalty tickets were issued.
Police remind members of the public to comply with traffic regulations and ensure the safety of students.
