CS to attend 22nd Working Meeting of Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference in Guangzhou

The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, will lead a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government delegation to visit Guangzhou on Thursday afternoon (February 23) to co-chair the 22nd Working Meeting of the Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference with the Vice-Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr He Zhongyou.
At the meeting, the two sides will review the progress of implementation of the 2016 Work Plan of the Framework Agreement on Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation and finalise the 2017 Work Plan.
Members of the HKSAR Government delegation will include the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing; the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Ms Chang King-yiu; the Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Florence Hui; the Under Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan; the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung; the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr James Lau; the Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Dr David Chung; and other relevant officials.
After the meeting, Mr Cheung will accompany the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, in his visit programme in Guangzhou and return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day.
