CS expresses sorrow at passing of Mr Hui Yin-fat

"I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Hui due to illness.
"Mr Hui dedicated his life to promoting the development of social welfare services and made important contributions to building Hong Kong as a caring society. He was the Director of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service for years and we co-operated closely when I was the Director of Social Welfare. He was a friend and a teacher.
"Mr Hui also served Hong Kong in a number of important public service positions including Member of the then Executive Council, the then Legislative Council and the Elderly Commission.
"The passing of Mr Hui is a tremendous loss to Hong Kong society," Mrs Lam said.
